TIBETAN WALL HANGING. First half 20th century, Tibet. This woven example depicting a Buddhist figure with headdress and robes on a yellow/gold ground amongst emblems of wealth and precious objects, cloud bands, and bells beneath a row of lanterns, ribbon tied tassels, headed by a Greek key pattern above a band of concentric circles. The figure is suspended above a stylized monastery above a li shui border. SIZE: 3’3″ x 9′. CONDITION: Very good overall with full pile, slight and minor fraying to fringe and selvedge. 9-92185 (900-1,200)
