Pair of lacquered seal chests, molded in relief with a cantered hinged dragon and phoenix decorated cover, and gilt engraved, having gilt bronze mounts. Both chests have a yellow silk lined interior. SIZE: Each is 18″ w x 18″ h x 15″ d. PROVENANCE: From a private New York State collection. CONDITION: Both are generally good with surface abrasion. 9-92522, 9-92523 (2,000-3,000)
