CHINESE EMBROIDERED ROBE. 19th century, China. Ivory brocade with a design of the “Eight Precious Emblems” and archaic scrolling. Embroidery of baskets of flowers, butterflies in chain stitch and regular stitch with considerable use of gold thread. SIZE: 55″ w x 44″ h.
