TWO IVORY CARVINGS. 19th century, Japan. 1) Standing carved ivory figure of Jurojin with a deer. Signed within a cinnabar cartouche on bottom. 2) Ivory carved woman holding a brocade ball. SIZE: 8” t and 8-1/4″ t. CONDITION: 1) With repair to torso of deer and left sleeve of figure. 2) Hairline on left shoulder, signature on base within cartouche absent. 9-92399, 9-92400 (300-500)
