CHINESE EXPORT SOUP TUREEN WITH STAND. First half 19th century, China. This fine example of oval form decorated overall in Famille Rose enamels of floral and foliate design with butterflies. The tureen with gilt strap handles fitted with a conforming lid with gilt knop finial. The matching stand similarly decorated and with a central tableau of domestic life. SIZE: 11″ overall h x 14″ overall l x 11-3/4″ w. CONDITION: Generally very good with normal and expected wear to gilt-decorated surfaces. 9-90236 (3,000-5,000)
