FINE OAK S-ROLL TOP DESK WITH FULL INTERIOR. Late 19th/early 20th century, New England. This nice example in quartersawn oak of typical form with raised panels, carved handles and a full interior of 32 stationary and document drawers centering an arrangement of pigeonholes. The desk raised on two banks of four drawers beneath pullout writing slides centering a long drawer. The desk with modesty panel. SIZE: 50″ h x 60″ l x 36″ d. CONDITION: Desk retains original surfaces, some damage to small knobs on interior drawers, the roll operable but in need of reinforcing to canvas backing, with dark patina, in needing of cosmetic cleaning.
