RENAISSANCE REVIVAL CARVED WALNUT DISPLAY CABINET. Last quarter 19th century, American. The rectangular cabinet in two parts. The rectangular upper case with overhanging molded cornice with canted corners above a pair of arched molded glass panel doors flanked by canted, molded pilasters surmounted by acanthus carved corbels. Three aligned narrow drawers beneath the doors, the centermost with hinged drawer front opening to a baise lined writing surface. The conforming lower case fitted with a pair of carved cupboard doors centering an arched opening. The whole on a step-molded base. SIZE: 90″ h x 61″ w x 19-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Cabinet retains original cleaned surfaces. Moldings and carved elements with cosmetic restoration and repairs. Good overall. 9-90143 (1,000-1,500)
