EARLY SCRIMSHAW POWDER HORN DATED 1807. This early scrimshaw powder horn engraved “HCNRV + RRWN, SALVACC, RISH HARBOR 1807”. The butt carved in a half-round and sealed with a black, tar-like substance. SIZE: Approximately 16″ on the curve. CONDITION: Structurally good and shows lots of patina. The leather thong is an old replacement. 4-43781 (200-400)
