19th century, American, mahogany mirror with gilt trim having broken arch pediment with gilt molding terminating in carved and gilt rosettes featuring a finely carved and gilt federal eagle and having carved and gilt swags with foliate and fruit elements. Very attractive, constructed from period and later elements. Eagle carving appears to be first period. SIZE: 48″ h x 23-1/2″ w.
