PRESENTATION TYPE FIREMAN’S AXE. Brass head, 6-3/4″ x 3-1/2″ wide blade, including a 2-1/4″ spike on top. The blade is etched with oak leaf and acorn patterns, a fireman holding a hose with implements about his feet and a ladder behind him. The other side has the same patterns without the fireman. Haft is black ebony colored with screw-on brass butt cap, two brass hanger rings and a blank brass presentation plate on the left side. CONDITION: Excellent. Medium patina on the blade, light patina on the other brass. The handle is fine and retains most of its orig. finish. 1-27833 JL450 (400-600)
