TWO HIGH COUNTRY AMERICAN MAPLE WORK TABLES.

First half 19th century, New England. The first example a Federal bird’s eye maple one-drawer stand with ovolo corners raised on square tapered legs. The second a Sheraton tiger maple one-drawer stand with square top above conforming frieze fitted with single cyma-curved drawer raised on block and spool-turned legs on ball feet. SIZE: 1st table: 28-1/4″ h x 20″ w x 19″ d. 2nd table: 27-1/2″ h x 19-1/2″ w x 16-1/2″ d. PROVENANCE: From a fine private Long Island, NY collection. CONDITION: Both stands restored and repolished with medium brown honey tones, rear legs on Federal example redoweled and stabilized. Generally good overall. 9-93345 (700-900) – Lot 3093
