LARGE CLASSICAL REVIVAL FIGURAL NEWEL POST LAMP. Late 19th century, America. The patinated metal spelter casting of a Greek or Roman warrior with helmet, tunic and shield holding a torch aloft in his right hand, posed on a socle. The lamp accompanied by a chartreuse glass bullet shade of conical form, applied with a gilt metal band cast with floral garlands which is a replacement. SIZE: Statue: 52″ h. Overall with shade: 60-1/2″ h. CONDITION: Silvered surfaces with wear, proper left arm needs reattachment at area of previous repair, currently attached with screw. 9-90139 (1,000-2,000)
