GUSTAV STICKLEY OAK OFFICE ARMCHAIR. First quarter 20th century, New York. This good example with brown tooled soft leather upholstery with brass tacks. Of typical form with rectangular curved crest rail. The back joined to flat shaped arms joined to the square legs with corbels. The frontal legs joined to a typical flattened frontal stretcher. SIZE: Back: 37 ” h. Back: 19″ h. Overall width: 28″. PROVENANCE: Property of a New York gentleman. CONDITION: Structurally very good. This example appears to be professionally refinished with newly upholstered seat and back. Brand and/or label absent. 9-90602 (400-600)
