CIVIL WAR BACKPACK. Made of tarred cotton with a large pouch measuring about 14″ x 13″ and another pouch about 10″ x 13″ with dbl. leather closure straps, leather shoulder harness and brass and iron hooks and buckles. One strap is marked “WM. BUTTE NY” with the date August 13, 1864. CONDITION: Fair with tears on the top and bottom of worn pouch, leather is dry and crackled. 4-45245 (250-350)
