GRUEBY ART POTTERY VASE WITH ALLIGATOR GLAZE.

First quarter 20th century. Revere Massachusetts. Grueby pottery. Fine large example with unusual matte green glaze with heavy aligatoring. Surface consistent throughout. Aligatored pattern reveals tan clay body with reddish brown glazed interior having the impressed mark for Grueby Faience Co. incised numbers “378.” SIZE: 9-3/4″ h. CONDITION: Very good. One small glaze loss inside neck occurring during manufacture, 7-75052 (1,200-1,800) – Lot 2657
