Depicting an oversize pig in an English landscape inscribed: “This pig No. 49, ‘Samson’ claimed Devizes & Dorchester 1st. & 3rd. and premium, likewise at Apavon. The property of Sir Thos. Mogg; Fed & Bred by Geo. Hawksy. Bristol: May 19th 1896”. Housed in a chestnut frame. SIZE: Sight: 24″ x 31″ Overall: 34″ x 40 1/2″ CONDITION: Small loss of paint in right sky area, otherwise good. 9-92369 (2,000-3,000)
