FINE AMERICAN THREE PIECE SLATE AESTHETIC CLOCK SET.

Second half 19th century, Very fine three piece carved and polished slate aesthetic clock set consisting of; brass works time and strike mantle clock having inset hand painted panels with scenes of Renaissance figures. The freize panel and center of dial painted porcelain with heraldry elements, mounted with ormolu decorations and brass baluster galleries. The dial bearing “Palmer, Batchelder and Co. Boston.” Clock is accompanied by original similar garniture vases. SIZE: 17″ H, 15 3/4″ W, 6″ D. Garniture 10 3/4 H CONDITION: Clock overall very good, complete and original, missing pendulum and loss to front left foot with putty repair and minor chip on column left of dial.
