RARE LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD DOORSTOP. Circa 1920, Albany Foundry, Albany, New York, or the National Foundry, Whitman, Massachusetts. This nice cast-iron example depicting Little Red Riding Hood together with the wolf on a demilune base. Reference: The Doorstop Book, John and Nancy Smith, as illustrated on page 32 in a facsimile from the National Foundry catalog item #94. See also page 199 showing a photograph of a similar doorstop made by Albany foundry, carrying the same item #94. SIZE: 7-1/2″ h. CONDITION: Retains original painted surfaces.
