LARGE PAINTED SHAKER LINEN PRESS WITH FOUR SHORT OVER FOUR LONG DRAWERS. Mid to late 19th century. Shaker pine linen chest with four short drawers over four full width drawers. Blue painted over original red. Mid to late 19th century having diamond lozenge decoration behind porcelain knobs, all square nailed and dovetailed construction. SIZE: 51″ w x 73″ h x 24″ d. PROVENANCE: This lot was once owned by the pioneer collection of American antiques in the early 1920’s, Julia Sinclair Spring. CONDITION: Very good. Appears to be all original. 9-91697 (3,000-5,000)
