SHERATON FIGURED MAPLE DRESSING MIRROR.

Second quarter, 19th century, New England. The rectangular mirror plate within a conforming frame mounted on canted baluster-turned cylindrical supports joined to the case with shaped front fitted with a central drawer flanked by shell carved drawers flanked by engaged 1/2 round bobbin-turned pilasters headed by rosettes raised on ball feet. The whole of tiger maple. SIZE: 29-1/2″ h x 22″ l x 10″ d. PROVENANCE: The Cobbs Auctioneers, Peterborough, NH. From a fine private Long Island, NY collection.
