FRAMED SIGNED LETTER BY WILLIAM WHIPPLE, NATH SCUDDER & GOUV. MORRIS. Single page letter; Philadelphia, 11th November 1778 in Committee of Congress. William Whipple, Jr. (1730-1785) was a signatory of the United States Declaration of Independence as a representative of New Hampshire. Nathanial Scudder (1733-1781) was an American physician and patriot leader during the Revolutionary War. He served as a delegate for New Jersey to the Continental Congress, where he was one of two delegates from New Jersey to sign the Articles of Confederation. Gouverneur Morris (1752-1816) was an American statesman, a Founding Father of the United States, and a native of New York City who represented Pennsylvania in the Constitutional Convention of 1787.
