CARVED WOODEN DIPPER. Circa 1799. This pleasing example with oval deep bowl on foot rim beneath which is carved the date “1799” within a cartouche. The rim incised carved with cross hatching continuing to a shaped handle of “fleur-de-lis”, the whole carved from the solid. SIZE: 1-1/2″ h x 5-3/4″ x 3-1/2″ w. PROVENANCE: From a fine Kentucky Estate. CONDITION: Very good with nice rich patina. 9-92227 (500-1,000)
