SET OF TEN GEORGE III STYLE MAHOGANY DINING CHAIRS. First half 20th century. Comprising a pair of armchairs and eight side chairs. Each with molded crest rails arched at the center above a pierced splat and slightly rolled ears. The overupholstered trapezoidal seat raised on tapered square frontal legs, the rear legs backswept, joined by a recessed boxed stretcher. SIZE: Armchair: Back 40″ h x seat 18″ h x overall width 27″. Side Chair: Back 39″ h x seat 18-1/2″ h x overall width 22″. PROVENANCE: From a fine Maine and New York private collection. CONDITION: Very good overall, surfaces retaining original finish.
