PAIR OF GEORGE III CARVED MAHOGANY OPEN ARMCHAIRS. Last quarter 18th century, England. Each with rectangular padded back joined to overupholstered arms on incurved downswept supports, acanthus carved with Gothic elements raised on square frontal molded legs with lattice and foliate carving, the rear legs backswept joined by a recessed box stretcher. SIZE: Back: 37-3/4″ h. Overall: 28″ w. Seat frame: 13-1/2″ h. CONDITION: Frames retain old if not original surfaces. The upholstered seats and backs with exposed frame.
