Framed clockwork automaton featuring a lithographed two-dimensional figure of a young farm hand whose face when activated moves left to right, mouth opens and closes, eyes and eyelids move. Well detailed with a label on reverse “Hoyt Life Picture Patents applied for in the United States, Great Britain, France and Germany” with directions. Mechanism hidden in shadow box behind image with opening to wind mechanism in back, lever to start and stop mechanism on left side.
