FOLK ART CARVED AND PAINTED CIVIL WAR CANNON.

Second half 19th century, American.Probably used in an old soldiers home or museum to commemorate the war. The cannon sits atop a stationary mount that can adjust the angle of the barrel. The cannon is painted an old gold color and the accurately carved support base is old black paint. Nails used in the base are square and consistent with the period.
