NEW YORK FEDERAL MAHOGANY DINING TABLE WITH BRASS PAW FEET. Early 19th century, New York. The single board rectangular top with conforming hinged leaves above the molded apron fitted with a single drawer with cock beaded edges above lyre form supports joined by acanthus carved turned stretchers raised on outswept molded legs headed by acanthus carving, terminating in well cast brass claw foot sabots on casters. SIZE: 29″ h. Closed: 24″ w. Open: 59″ w. 48″ d. PROVENANCE: From a fine Kentucky Estate. CONDITION: Fine old re-finish retaining original color and surface. Well executed old repair to one leaf. This table fitted with mortice plugs on one leaf indicating it was part of a double dining table. Otherwise very good. 9-92289 (1,000-2,000)
