ROBIN’S EGG BLUE PAINTED TREEN BUCKET WITH SWING HANDLE.Early 19th century. Turned from one piece of wood with carved ears, having carved pegs holding a bent wood swing handle. Fitted with an inset bottom. Painted in Robin’s egg blue paint. SIZE: 6-1/4″ h; 5-1/2 x 6-1/4″ bottom (shrinkage). PROVENANCE: Estate of Annie Chase, Randolph, Maine. CONDITION: Very good. Bottom with openings due to heavy, normal shrinkage; bucket amazingly without splits; normal wear commensurate with age. Painted surface uniform. 9-94225 (800-1,200) – Lot 2507
