SHERATON CHERRY FULL CANOPY BED. Circa 1840, New England. The arched headboard panel joined to tapered square posts, the foot with reeded swelled urn and ring-turned posts inlaid with single pendant bellflower and with string inlaid panels, all above the tapered cylindrical foot. Each post fitted with flame urn finial. Bed retains original square rails. SIZE: Overall: 83″ h. Overall: 58″ w. Exterior: 77-1/2″ l. Interior: 70-1/2″ l. CONDITION: Surfaces repolished, headboard posts have been spliced and pieced to restore to original height, one finial absent. Otherwise good. 9-90192 (1,000-2,000)
