SHERATON INLAID MAHOGANY AND BIRCH CARD TABLE. Circa 1840, North Shore, Massachusetts. The rectangular top with half serpentine sides, serpentine front and elliptic corners above the conforming apron with rectangular figured birch panels within crossbanding raised on swelled reeded legs with ring turned ankles continuing to tapering cylindrical feet. SIZE: 30-3/4″ h x 36-1/2″ w x 17″ d closed. PROVENANCE: From a Maine estate. CONDITION: Structurally very good, surfaces with old, dry crusty finish in need of repolishing.
