WATERCOLOR ON PAPER NEW YORK FAMILY RECORD.

Early 19th century, New York, watercolor family record, Jacob Lent born 1771 and Maria Haws, 1771 and children featuring colorfully painted columns, scroll and heart with arrows and a reclining youth in the woods with weeping willow and poplars. Along bottom features a poem “Babes in the Woods” with a red heart separating stanzas. On reverse “To be given to Russell N. Lent at my death Emma Lent”. Set in original mahogany gilt frame. The grave of Maria Hause Lent can be found at St. Phillips Church cemetery, Garrison, NY. SIZE: Image size 14-1/2″ x 10-1/2″.
