NATIVE AMERICAN BIRD EFFIGY SCOOP.19th century, probably Eastern woodlands. Scoop elaborately carved from single piece of horn, thin, dished oval scoop, handle round carved, arrowhead shaped, with fox and eagle heads, fine red, white & yellow beads between. Applied copper eyes. Fox’s ears, nostrils & mouth painted red, eagle’s beak painted yellow. Now with museum stand. SIZE: 8-1/2″ overall.
