Maine 20th century signed B.E.M” attributed to Barbara Marey of Swanville Maine (born 1923). Examples of her work are in the collection of the Maine Historical Society. Rug is the image of purple Victorian house, a white church and a mustard painted colonial house in the background with chickens, cat and Lombarde poplars. Rag hooked on burlap, having vibrant but slightly softened colors. SIZE: 18″ h x 44″ l. CONDITION: Very good overall with a loss of about 6′ x 1″ in upper right hand corner. 9-94287 (400-600) – Lot 2431
