SACK BACK WINDSOR ARMCHAIR.

Third quarter 18th century CT or MA. This fine example of mixed woods, the bowed back joined to seven spindles continuing through the mid-rail continuing to paddle hand rests, raised on vase-ring-and-reel-turned supports centering a shaped saddle seat raised on similarly turned splayed legs joined by swelled H-form stretchers. Surfaces now in old crusty black paint over original red. SIZE: Height of back 35″ height of seat 17 1/2″ overall width 24″ CONDITION: Generally good untouched condition, no damages or restoration noted.
