PAIR OF MIRROR-BACK OVAL SCONCES.

First half 19th century, American, featuring oval convex reflector backplates with concentric trapezoidal applied mirror glass, adjoining down swept arm rolled edge & triangular braced folded tab candle arms. Drip pans with piecrust edge, slotted candlecups with folded rim. Backside with soldered, folded edge oval mounts, horizontal hanger marked “IS”. SIZE: 12-1/2″ overall, mirror 6″ w. CONDITION: Good condition, each sconce with two cracked stable mirror pieces & minor imperfections. Original surface with fine dark patina. Mirror surfaces with typical foxing, silvering loss. 9-93912 (900-1,500) – Lot 2405
