Late 18th century, New England, the arm chair featuring a scalloped crest rail boldly turned vase and ring half spindles, with scrolling arms, vase and ring turned arm supports, sausage turned front legs, and turned front stretchers. Finished in old black paint. The side chair with bell & ball finials, carved crest rail and four 1/2 spinals, having sausage turned front legs. SIZE: Armchair: 43″ h, side chair 41-1/2″ h. CONDITION: Armchair, rough rush seat and old restoration to left arm post. The side chair very good with old refinish and old replaced splint seat. 9-94376 (500-800) – Lot 2403
