Nantucket, Massachusetts late 18th century with shaped concave crest. Simple tapering back spindles with elaborate vase-and-ring-turned side posts, having up-swept scrolling arms atop vase-and-ring-turned posts with pine carved saddle seat resting on bulbous urn carved splay legs with bulbous turned “H” stretcher in fine black paint showing evidence of thin multi coats.
