RARE AND IMPORTANT QUEEN ANNE CHIMNEY CUPBOARD.

First quarter 18th century, New England. This fine example in red paint with stepped molded corners joined to the conforming rectangular case fitted with a pair of tombstone arched doors opening to an interior fitted with a single concave shelf with cutlery cutouts now in blue paint above a single panel molded door, the interior with single fitted shelf, the whole on a molded base. Original hardware throughout including elongated chestnut mushroom knob door pulls. SIZE: H 74″ W overall 21″ D 14″ CONDITION: Original red painted surfaces. Interior blue/black paint early, over originally unpainted surfaces. Spoon shelf with original yellow fascia.
