FINE WALNUT AND GILTWOOD QUEEN ANNE MIRROR. Mid 18th century, probably England. Rectangular beveled mirror plate within a figured walnut surround with bobbin-turned giltwood trim and with floral rosettes at the corners beneath the arched crest applied with scrolling floral leaf tips centering a pierced and reticulated vase emitting a floral spray, the apron similarly applied with gilt scroll work and pendant drops at the corners. SIZE: 54″ h x 21-3/4″ w. CONDITION: Mirror plate and backboards with period paper covering appear original. Also with original gilding, some with later touch-ups. Several losses to flower petals and to leaf tips. 9-90205 (1,500-2,500)
