Circa 1900, Central Caucasus. This nice antique example with four dramatic cherry red and ivory crab medallions within a dark brown field of polychrome geometric devices. Stylized deer or dogs are placed between the medallions. Flanked by geometric flowerheads, all within dogtooth and serrated borders. SIZE: 4′ 4″ x 7′ 5″. CONDITION: Rug retains vibrant color. A small repaired tear at end within guard borders. Some wear to foundation and oxidation in areas of iron brown field. Otherwise good. 9-94493 (800-1,200) – Lot 2377
