RARE “STICKING TOMMY” CANDLE LIGHT.18th century, American. A fine example of white smith forge work, undoubtedly a presentation piece, having a four sided pointed tip with fish and diamond design, leading to a hexagonal shaft, more fish and diamond designs adjoining a teardrop shaped handle, decorated with pierced pick ax, mallet & chisels, having a slotted candle holder with serrated top and figural shovel forming the thumb release.
