NORTHWEST COAST SCRIMSHAW CRIBBAGE BOARD. Circa 1880. Depicting Eskimos in the act of hunting, the flattened top surface of a cribbage board bordered by heart shaped floral designs, the board with hearts and hands. The reverse scrimmed with walrus, fish, caribou, ducks, rabbits, etc., all on a fanciful landscape. Hunters may be seen in the background smoking their catch. SIZE: 11″ l. PROVENANCE: From a private Utah collection. CONDITION: Very good overall, undisturbed surfaces, nice patina. 9-92886 (1,500-2,500)
