Last quarter of the 19th Century, New York. Attributed to J.W. Fiske, N.Y. Flattened hollow body form with early gilt surface showing traces of yellow sizing and earlier red. Mounted on museum stand. SIZE: 24″ h x 40″ l. CONDITION: Age appropriate dents & seam splits with small areas of gilding patches on flank & base of tail. Horsetail has been professionally repaired.
