LARGE WAR OF 1812 PAINTING DEPICTING ADMIRAL PERRY AND THE BATTLE OF LAKE ERIE.Large mix-media pastel and watercolor on paper mounted to linen. Admiral Perry is seen standing in a large row boat with eight other men, the front of the boat having a mast with fluttering American flag having 13 stars. The left side shows the stern of a crippled ship and there is smoke billowing across the painting in front of other ships and sails. Unsigned, mid-19th Century.
