CHIPPENDALE GENTLEMAN’S HIGH CHEST. Late 18th/early 19th century, New England. This high country example of mixed woods including mahogany and pine. The rectangular dovetailed case with molded edge fitted with an arrangement of two aligned short drawers over four long drawers, all with cockbeaded edges, flanked by engaged quarter columns on a molded base raised on ogee carved bracket feet. SIZE: 42″w x 21″d x 50″h. CONDITION: Refinished with minor repairs. 9-92121 (1,600-2,400)
