FINE GILT GIRANDOLE MIRROR WITH EAGLE. First quarter 19th century. The convex mirror plate within a reeded ebony slip. The circular molded frame encompassing the whole, above a carved leafy spray, the mirror surmounted by a displayed eagle on pedestal mounted on a plinth flanked by opposing carved dolphins with curled tails, the whole with gilded surfaces. SIZE: 44-1/2″ h x 25″ w. CONDITION: Original surfaces dry and crusty with some minor losses and flaking. Mirror plate original. Structurally very good with no restorations. Gilded surfaces in need of restoration. 7-70355 (1,500-2,500)
