PAIR OF FEDERAL BRASS ANDIRONS. Late 18th C, Boston. Having bold faceted knobs and turned posts, raised on arched spurred legs ending in padded slipper feet. Attributed to the shop of J. Davis. Accompanying this lot is a turned handled brass bedwarmer, early 19th Century having engraved lid and applewood turned handle. SIZE: Andirons:17-1/2″ h; warmer: 45″ overall. CONDITION: Andirons in very good condition retaining original log stops, finely polished; bedwarmer in very good condition with polished lid. 9-92735 (500-800)
