PAIR OF PAINT DECORATED LEATHER FIRE BUCKETS. Circa 1803, “W. OSBORN”, New England. Each painted in light green with Windsor green rims. Centering blue panels with black banding marked “J.B. BRIGGS” with “RELIEF” within decorations of vinery above ribbon tied banners. The buckets marked “No 1” and “No 2”, dated “1803”. SIZE: 13″ T. CONDITION: Carrying strap of one leather handle professionally restored. All else original painted surfaces over gray undercoat. Very good overall. 9-91500 (2,000-4,000)
