American, first quarter of 19th century. The top with deeply molded edge and fine, large oval inlay with well detailed federal eagle and shield. The box of dovetail construction having molded face, now fitted with tin liner of later origin. Mounted on a mahogany base with tapering legs also of later origin. SIZE: 36″ h x 22″ w x 22″ d.
