Second quarter 20th century, Northwest Persia. Nice semi-antique example with blue black arabesque medallion on a madder red field within ivory spandrels, the whole with dense geometric polychrome devices. All within a blue black main border of scrolling lotus blossoms and flowerheads. SIZE: 8′ 1″ X 10′ 10″. CONDITION: Rug with full pile overall, retaining vibrant colors. Area of one corner at end with loss of fringe, the corner in need of re-weaving. Otherwise generally good. 9-94017 (2,500-3,500) – Lot 2221
